Description

Springfield Woman's Club Jacksonville, FL. The Springfield Woman's Club is one of the oldest Woman's Clubs in Florida. Originally founded in 1904 by the women of Springfield who wanted to improve the amenities in the neighborhood the Club today still adheres to the vision of these women. On May 4, 1904, Mrs. Benjamin F. Dillon invited other ladies of the neighborhood to join her in an organization she intended to call "The Springfield Improvement Association." which later became the Woman's Club.
