Description
Depiction of the British General Ogelthorpe's first unsuccessful expedition against the Spanish at St. Augustine drawn by Thomas Silver from a manuscript map from the voyage. Bird's-eye-view shows the Matanzas River, the Castillo de Marcos, north and south channel, military camps, and warships in the foreground. Includes index to points of interest and text in lower margin. Explanatory text has title: An account of the siege of St. Augustine in a letter from on board ye Hector.
