Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry J. Camp, provides introductions to the speakers and welcome remarks. Interim President of the University, Dr. A. David Kline, describes his view of the future of the University and some of the influences on UNF's development. Dr. Terry Bowen, President of the Faculty Association, distributes awards to faculty members, including this year's distinguished professor award to Dr. Elizabeth L. Furdell. In her acceptance speech, Dr. Furdell reflects on the development of her career, the importance of taking advantage of opportunities presented to one, the vital role university support plays in faculty scholarly research and her gratitude for her association with UNF and the Jacksonville community.
