UNF Campus Housing

UNF began construction on a new residence hall for honors students in February 2024. Once completed, it will be the university’s first new construction housing facility in sixteen years.

This exhibit reviews UNF’s history of on-campus housing using materials from the university archives. The development of on-campus housing at UNF occurred in conjunction with other significant changes, including the admission of freshmen and sophomore students, and the creation and growth of various intercollegiate athletics programs. These developments greatly changed the make up of UNF’s student body, and resulted in an array of increased student services and student-centered areas on campus over time.
