The program for the party held on October 2, 1997 celebrates the 25th Birthday of the University of North Florida. Names of current founding faculty and staff are listed alphabetically. The program included music by the UNF Jazz Combo, a welcome speech, occasion, remarks by Mayor John A. Delaney, an anniversary poem presented by William R. Slaughter, remarks by Ray Beck, presentation of a time capsule by Andrew Farkas, followed by remarks from Adam W. Herbert and Christine E. Rasche. Current charter faculty and staff were presented, and then a cake cutting ceremony. A group photo was taken and after program entertainment was provided by the UNF Osprey Band and Cheerleaders.
