On the front is a small note at the bottom that says
Also say, tell you to soon to come home this fall
On the back is a note written to Mrs. H.M. Austin that reads:
Dear Ma,
Received your card am so glad you are feeling better and having a nice time. Haven’t been any where since you all left—have been sick for the last two weeks. Don’t think now I will go any where this summer the weather is not so hot now. Nights are fine. Hope you all will come home soon. Write often. Yours, Fred Bowman.
