On the back is a note written to Mrs. George O. Pence that reads: Am leaving today for Cuba. Will get their (sic) Thursday morning. Will be gon (sic) 2 weeks. Will write you when I get their (sic). I passed my other examination O.K. am now waiting for my appointment. Will write you as soon as I land in Cuba. (Name illegible)
