Description

This video begins with a title sequence of images and music. The words “Choose to Build Our Community” appear on the screen. A montage of clips involving BCBSF volunteers shows how each of them helps in their own way to build their community including caring for children and the elderly, sorting through donated clothes, building homes and serving others in a kitchen. Discussion of the development of programs to help those less fortunate educate themselves. Congresswoman Fowler and others encourage the viewer to start donating or increase their donations to United Way as government funding is cut back. A few women give their testimonials about how much Hubbard House helped them out of abusive relationships. The viewer is reminded of the short time we have to pack up a home in the event of a natural disaster and how United Way is there to help in the aftermath.
