Description

First appeared in Gerhard Mercator's atlas brought out by Jodocus Hondius beginning in 1606. Includes illustrations of two Timucua indigenous people, two sailing vessels, two indigenous canoes with figures, sea monsters, deer and a turkey. Cartouche has view of a Florida indigenous people village on the left, and a Virginia indigenous people village on the right of map title.
