Abstract
The UNF Journal is published three times a year by the University of North Florida, Division of Institutional Advancement to communicate UNF’s mission and its accomplishments to alumni and friends of the university. Includes a letter from President Adam W. Herbert and articles on AmeriCorps projects, Governor Reubin Askew, Maya Angelou and the Presidential Lecture Series, Sidney Green -new men’s basketball coach, the reigning Miss UNF, Christy Neuman crowned Miss Florida, UNF engineering students win top award in regional robot competition, Florida Burdines Teacher of the Year- Grace Williams and other UNF alumni who were winners and finalists in the competition, MBA graduate Sharon Frahler, 25th Anniversary celebrations and events calendar, the first day in the life of a university, Class Notes, UNF Student-Athlete Leigh Ann Tabor, Ferrell scholar Nakisha Peterson, UNF alumni night at the Jacksonville Suns game, College of Health Building to be named for J.
