Artist Biographical Information
Mark Howard earned an MFA from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of North Florida. He was a Professor of Art and Business at Florida State College at Jacksonville. In 1990, Howard taught watercolor and drawing in Florence, Italy for Florida State University. During this time, he produced several editions of etching and aquatints at the Santa Reparta graphic studio. He now works principally as a watercolorist who works in plein air in both Florida and Maine. He has been in numerous local and national exhibitions including Florida Creates, Florida State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition, 31st Annual Print Show, and the Seattle International Print Exhibition to name but a few. His work was also included in a Smithsonian Institution exhibition of fifty American drawings that traveled worldwide.
