Artist Biographical Information
Enzo Torcoletti (b. 1943) was born in Italy and attended art school there before moving to Canada where he earned a BA in English Literature and a BFA in Sculpture and Printmaking from the University of Windsor in 1969. In 1971, he earned his MFA in Sculpture from Florida State University. He taught sculpture, drawing, and art history at Flagler College in St. Augustine. He retired in 1971 and is a Professor Emeritus. Over the past twenty years, Mr. Torcoletti has been deeply involved with sculpture production, exhibits, and commissions. His work has been shown extensively and is included in numerous private and public collections here and abroad. Mr. Torcoletti has completed a number of commissions in a variety of media but in the last few years he has directed most of his energies to stone carving with has taken him to Portugal, England, and Italy where he maintains a sculpture studio. He has completed a forty-foot, fifty-ton, granite sculpture for Kings Hill in Kent, England.
