Artist Biographical Information

Bill McQuaid received his BA in Psychology from Emory University and MFA in Photography from the University of Florida. He has taught photography at several colleges and universities including the University of Florida, Western Kentucky University, and the Southeast Center for Photography at Daytona Beach Community College. In 1989, he received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Florida Arts Council. In addition, he was a recipient of an Art Ventures Grant from the Arts Assembly and the Jacksonville Community Foundation. Selected exhibitions include: Fact and Fiction: The State of Florida Photography, Norton Gallery of Art, Boca Raton, FL; Photo/Four/Florida, University of Vera Cruz, Mexico; Streetman/Uelsmann/ Wilson/McQuaid, Cummer Museum of Art; The Red Clay Survey, Huntsville Museum of Art; and Young Americans, Bath, England. McQuaid’s work has been published in Creative Camera, and several recent exhibition catalogs.
