Description

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. A. David Kline, provides introductions to the speakers and makes remarks on the importance of good university citizenship. Dr. Chris Rasche, President of the Faculty Association, presents teaching and advising awards as well as the distinguished professor award to Dr. E. Allen Tilley. Dr. Tilley's distinguished professor lecture focuses on the large number of adjunct faculty utilized by the University and the necessity of providing better salaries and support for them. President of the University, Dr. Adam Herbert, in his state of the university speech, describes the importance of UNF moving forward from its 25th anniversary celebration to reinvent the University to fit future needs and prepare for accreditation. Dr. Herbert believes that the University has a mandate to provide the transforming power of education to the community.
