Biographical Statement

Dr. Laura Boilini serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the field of Educational Leadership at UNF. Dr. Boilini is in her second year at UNF after serving two years as a Visiting Professor and has an extensive K12 career serving as a teacher, art teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent in the state of Indiana and received her Ph.D. from Purdue University. She has also served in K12 schools in Florida and as a dean at the community college level. She has a special interest in leadership and art and seeks avenues of connection for herself and for others in this regard.

Publication Information

One World is a collage representation created by Dr. Laura Boilini in honor of the College of Education and Human Services' shared mission of "Partnering to Make the World a Better Place." This mission is one of unity and the work has been recently signed by all faculty and staff of the college as a sign of their commitment to collaboration and working towards this shared goal. The work includes young children's art work as woven within the world theme and enhanced by Dr. Boilini through paint media as she sought to create a reminder of partnership work on behalf of children and youth everywhere, as exemplified in One World. The work has been hung in the hallway of Building 57, the College of Education and Human Services.

Description of Work

One World-The work is large and encompasses three very large brightly painted canvases that create an overall art rendering designed to highlight the mission of the College of Education and Human Services which is "Partnering to Make the World a Better Place." The canvases are acyrlic paint enhanced with collage in the form of materials and childrens' artwork. The main circle world design has been recently signed by all staff and faculty of the college as a sign of their commitment to this mission.
