Description
Green Cove Springs "Mothball" Fleet. Shown here is a small section of the Florida group, Atlantic Reserve Fleet, moored at the Green Cove Springs Naval Station, Florida. The ships were put in a state of preservation just after World War II, to await their country's call to duty. Personnel of the Florida group are lined up on the pier for inspection.
