Description

This postcard depicts the VIA library in Green Cove Springs, Florida. The Ladies Village Improvement Association was established on February 20, 1883. It served as a Women's club and in 1888, it served as the county's first free library.

On the back of the postcard is a note written to Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Sandford in 1949 that reads:

Hello There: Got your cards surely did appreciate them also got one from Mr. and Mrs. Hobard. Uncle Ed and Aunt Johnnie.

Hope you all had a nice Xmas and that you will have the nicest of all New Years. Write to me...(illegible).. Love to you all. Juanita and Hugh
