On the back is a note written to Miss Annie Scott that reads:
Jacksonville 1/5/12
Received your card and was very pleased to hear from you. Thought you had forgotten me. Have had very good luck so far. Expect to be here until late in the season. Have heard from Louise regular which keeps me from getting too lonesome. As ever, E. P. L.
