George Lansing ("Lance") Taylor, Jr. is an avocational photographer and retired from the position of Associate Vice President of Administration and Finance and Chief Information Officer of the University of North Florida. The collection consists of photographic images, in digital format, taken by Taylor of historic architectural sites in the United States, primarily in Florida and Georgia. The images, dated between 2005-2019, provide visual documentation of athletic venues, bridges, cemeteries, churches and synagogues, clubs and associations, college campuses, commercial enterprises, financial institutions, fire stations, hospitals, hotels, libraries, lighthouses, memorials and monuments, museums, national parks, post offices, public buildings, residences, schools, signs and historic markers, and theaters. The collection was placed in the institutional repository starting in 2012 and was formerly titled Photographs of Historic Architecture in the United States.
