Thrasher Store, Micanopy, Fl.

This building was built in 1923. It is a brick building. J.E. Thrasher & Son, a company described in a contemporary account as one of the largest mercantile firms in Alachua County, sold general merchandise. It now houses the Tyson Trading Co.- Art & Antiques store.

The John E Thrasher Senior store was near the Smith building which burned in 1911 and he turned the warehouse into a general store and then moved into this building in 1923.
