US Federal Building
Federal Building, Sandersville, GA.
This Federal Building was built in 1931, in the Colonial Revival style. Originally, it housed the Sandersville Post Office and was noted for the use of pink marble for the floors and interior. In 2000, it was purchased by the First National Bank and Trust Co. and renovated for use as a bank. The renovation maintained the original features, including use of pink marble from the same quarry used in 1931. Today, the Federal Building houses the Queensborough National Bank.
