Description
Patrick Furniture Warehouse, Quitman, GA.
This building in Quitman, Georgia, was the warehouse for the Patrick Furniture Company, established in 1914. It now lies abandoned, with peeling white paint showing the bricks. It was a storage place for the furniture company.
Walter Patrick started the business in 1914 as Cook Patrick Furniture, later becoming Patrick's Furniture and then Romine Furniture, which finally closed its doors in 2009, after serving the community for 95 years. The Chamber of Commerce recently commended the Romines for the hard work and service.
