Description

Quitman Free Press Brooks County Library, Quitman, GA.

The Brooks County Library has been serving the citizens of Brooks County since January 31, 1880. The library moved on the second floor and the ground floor was occupied by the Quitman Free Press, which was the local newspaper of Quitman Georgia. The library was supported through membership dues. The second floor is now the law office of Long and Denton. The library moved to the new building where it is presently located.
