Description
This triple lancet window is at Grace Episcopal Church in Orange Park, Florida. The central window shows an edenic paradise. The left-hand window shows Moses delivering the Law, along with Matthew 22:37-38, about the commandment to love God with all one’s strength. The right-hand window illustrates the Parable of the Good Samaritan, with a reference to Matthew 22:39, to love God as yourself.
At the bottom of each side window is the image of a serpent on a staff, which Moses used to heal the Children of Israel. Jesus referred to the gesture to foretell how he would provide spiritual salvation.
The first window is dedicated to Joanne and Raleigh Thompson, 1991. The Middle window was dedicated in loving memory of Roland Ellis Byrd 1916-1986, and the last window was dedicated to Joanne and Raleigh Thompson, 1991.
