Postcard: The Shore of Pablo Beach, Fla; February 2, 1916 (351)
On the back is a note written to Mrs. Edward Arnold that reads:
Jacksonville, Fla. 2/2/16
Dear Theo and Ed,
We are both well and having a fine time (illegible) we visited this beach. You can imagine what it meant to me to see the ocean for the first time. We went by way of Electric a few miles south after crossing St. Johns’ river we picked shells on the beach and watched the tide come in. it is a beautiful night. Something I have always wanted to see, but never expected too. In the evening we went to see the “Battle Cry of Peace” it was splendid and if it comes to Clinton you ought to see it. We leave Thurs a.m. for St. Augustine. Hope you are both well. Love from, A.J and Hilma
