Description
The 24-member UNF Chamber Orchestra, currently in its fifth year, will feature the Music Department’s string students in a performance of Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, opus 48, one of the Russian composer’s masterworks. Next, the string ensemble will be joined by woodwind, brass, and percussion students, expanding the ensemble to the 48-member UNF Symphony Orchestra for performances of the Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo by Aaron Copland, and Finlandia by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. This marks the first time a full symphony orchestra - comprised mostly of UNF students and some members of the JSO - takes the stage of the Robinson Theatre
Serenade in C major, opus 48 / Peter Tchaikovsky -- Four dance episodes from Rodeo / Aaron Copland -- Finlandia, opus 26, number 7 / Jean Sibelius.
