Abstract
Jacksonville, Florida is home to one of the largest refugee populations in the United States, taking in nearly 1,000 immigrants each year.
They come from countries scarred by war, famine and other hardships knowing barely any English and having almost no understanding of our lifestyle.
Students in the University of North Florida Honors Program help ease their transition.
