Abstract

Newsclipping: "A. R. Tucker Will Build Home North of City. Chamber of Commerce News Service: Eau Gallie is glad to welcome back A. R. Tucker of Avon, Mass. Mr. Tucker is the son-in-law of the late J. P. Varnum, who was well known to many of our older citizens. Mr. Varnum was the first Postmaster of Eau Gallie as well as the founder of the Jacksonville Times; later he purchased the Jacksonville Union and combined them into the present great daily, The Times-Union. The heirs of J. P. Varnum own 16 acres of land near the High School, north of the section line and adjoining Varnum Creek..." No date on clipping.
