Description
UNF Fine Art Center 2, Jacksonville, FL. The Fine Arts Center is one of northeast Florida’s largest performing arts venues with three unique stages — The Lazzara Performance Hall, The Recital Hall and the Andrew A. Robinson Jr. Theater. The Center serves a dual purpose: to enhance the academic programs on campus and to complement the cultural offerings within Jacksonville. We host an eclectic mix of world-class performers, entertainers, ethnic music and dance, cutting-edge performances, and children’s programming. The Center is a vibrant community of artists, students and audiences with events spanning all performing arts disciplines, workshops, lectures, corporate training seminars, social events and receptions.
The grand opening of the University of North Florida Fine Arts Center on January 23, 2003, featured a concert performance by five-time Grammy Award winner Kathleen Battle and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.
The theater is named after civic leaders, Gasper Lazzara and wife, Irene.
