Description
Berrien County courthouse is located in Nashville, Georgia. Built in 1898, the building is on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #77000409). In the forefront of the image is a memorial to the 200 soldiers from Berrien County who perished off the coast of Scotland in World War 1 just before the armistice was signed. The memorial was the first of a series, The Spirit of the American Doughboy, pressed copper sculpture by E. M. Viquesney.
