Baird Hardware Warehouse 2, Gainesville, Fl. The Baird Hardware Company Warehouse (also known as the Baird Center) is a historic building in Gainesville, Florida, United States. It is located at 619 South Main Street. On November 25, 1985, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places NRIS #85003053.
Baird Hardware, founded by Eberle Baird, was one of the most important businesses in Gainesville for more than 90 years. Formed in 1890 and liquidated in 1981, it was the largest hardware house in Florida in 1900.
