Description
Commanders Palace Restaurant, New Orleans, Louisiana. Commander's Palace, a turquoise and white Victorian mansion nestled in the middle of the Garden District at 1403 Washington Avenue.
It was established in 1880 by Emile Commander. In 1974 the Brennan family took over the restaurant and redesigned it. In 2005 it suffered extensive damage due to Hurricane Katrina, but reopened after full renovation in 2006.
