Image focuses on the clock tower on the Montgomery County courthouse in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. The clock underwent a major renovation in the early 1990;s. The courthouse was built in 1907 in the Neoclassical Revival architectural style and designed by Alexander Blair. This is the third courthouse for the county (1st was built in early 1800's, 2nd was built in 1857). This is on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #80001122).
