Description

Jacksonville City Cemetery Plaque 2, was photographed on March 6, 2010, in Oakland, Jacksonville, FL, US. Jacksonville's Old City Cemetery was established in 1852 and contains several plots of Civil War interest. It is recognized as a Historic Landmark by the Jacksonville Historic Landmarks Commission. In addition, the United Daughters of the Confederacy placed an historical plaque for the cemetery in 1949 and dedicated the wall at the entrance of the cemetery in 1954.
