Description
F E Hale Building, Cedar Key, Fl. Cedar Key is a city in Levy County, Florida, United States. It was named for the Eastern Red Cedar, once abundant in this area.
Former mayor F.E. Hale built this structure in 1880 to be used as a clothing and grocery store. Later, I.O. Andrews & Co. sold ladies' and gents' furnishing goods. Other uses included a real estate office, movie house, bar, and doctor's office, with apartments upstairs.
