Description
Stovall bridge was built in 1895 and spans the Chickamauga creek in Helen, Georgia. The covered bridge was built by Will Pardue which replaced an older bridge destroyed in a storm. The earlier bridge was built by Fred Dover who owned the grist mill, saw mill, shingle mill, and other enterprises. This enterprise was bought in 1917 by Fred Stovall.
