Description
Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL was photographed on March 29, 2009, in Riverside, Jacksonville, Fl. The 5.85-acre Memorial Park lies nestled between Riverside Avenue and the St. Johns River. In 1919, the City purchased the property. It was designed by the Olmsted Brothers firm as a memorial for World War I soldiers. The park features the bronze sculpture Life, created by the celebrated Charles Adrian Pillars (1870-1937). Registered in NRHP #85000689.
