Gadsden County is located in the northwestern part of Florida. Quincy, the county seat, is on U.S. Highway 90 about midway between Pensacola and Jacksonville. Quincy is the county seat. Quincy was named after John Quincy Adams, who was then Secretary of State and later became sixth President of the United States. This is the Commission Building in Quincy, Florida, which was built in 1903.
