Description
The former Alcazar Hotel is located in St. Augustine, Florida. It was built in 1888 in the Spanish Renaissance Revival architectural style and designed by John M. Carrère and Thomas Hastings. The hotel closed in 1932 and reopened in 1946 as museum to house the Victoriana collection of Otto Lightner. The museum was donated to the city in 1948. The building is now home to St. Augustine City Hall and the Lightner Museum. It is on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #71001013).
