Description
The Bedingfield Inn is located in Lumpkin, Georgia. Built in 1836 by the town's first physician, Bryan Bedingfield it served as a family residence and a stopping place for stagecoaches and travelers. The building remained a hotel until the 1930's and was also known variously as Harrel House, Cuba House, and Ard House. The Stewart County Historical Commission purchased the inn and restored it to the orginal. The inn is on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #73000643).
