The former Richmond Hotel is located in Jacksonville, Florida. It was built in 1909 as a hotel for black citizens. Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday stayed at The Richmond while performing in Jacksonville. The hotel closed in 1969 and most recently is home to DeLoach Furniture.
