Description

The former Bon Air Hotel is located in Bainbridge, Georgia. It was originally known as Sharon House when it opened in 1869. The house was built by John Sharon. The building underwent a major renovation in 1901 and re-opened as the Bon Air Hotel. The hotel closed in the mid 1960's. Today, the building is home to apartments and commercial ventures. This is a contributing building on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #87001908) and a part of the Bainbridge Commercial Historic District.
