Schlemmer Grocery & Bakery, Cedar Key, Fl.
The white brick building was constructed for Nicholas Schlemmer in 1880. It was used as the Schlemmer Grocery and Bakery, it had an upstairs apartment, and an overhead walkway across 2nd Street leading to the Schlemmer House Hotel, a large and popular lodging during the 1860s and 1870's. This is the oldest surviving brick building in Cedar Key.
