Description
The former Hotel Thomas is located in Gainesville, Florida. It was built in 1910 as a private residence in the Classical Revival architectural style by William Agustus Edwards. The home which was owned by William Reuben Thomas was doubled in size turned into a hotel in 1928, This building was also known as the Sunkist Villa. It is now the Thomas Center, an art and cultural center for the Gainesville Cultural Affairs Division. It is also on the National Register for Historic Places (NRIS #73000563).
