Description
The Best Western plus Windsor Hotel is located in Americus, Georgia. It was built in 1892 in the Queen Anne architectural style and designed by Gottfried Leonard Norman. When it opened in 1892, it was known as the Windsor Hotel. The hotel closed in 1972 but reopened in 1991 as the Best Western plus Windsor Hotel. This is a contributing property on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #76000648) and a part of the Americus Historic District.
