Description
The former Ponce de Leon Hotel is located in St. Augustine, Florida. It was built between 1885-1887 in the Spanish Renaissance Revival architectural style and designed by John Carrere and Thomas Hastings. Stained glass was done by Louis Tiffany and murals by George W. Maynard. During World War II, the hotel was used as a Coast Guard Training Center. In 1968, the hotel was sold to Flagler College. This is on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #75002067).
