Description
The Beavertail Lighthouse is located on the southernmost point of Conanicut Island in the town of Jamestown, Rhode Island in Beavertail State Park. It was originally built in 1749 and was destroyed three times before the 1856 granite tower was built. The lighthouse was automated in 1989.
