Brooks County Confederal Monument, Quitman, Georgia.
This Confederal Monument outside the Brooks County Courthouse is a sculpture, made of Italian marble, by an unknown Italian sculptor. It was dedicated in Jan. 1, 1922 & rededicated in May 2, 1986. It was administered by Brooks County Board of Commissioners, County Commission, Quitman, Georgia.
On the monument is inscribed :
Our Confederate Dead,
Erected by the Ladies Memorial Association, 1878.
