This monument is the sculpture of a Confederate Soldier on a marble shaft, in Douglas, Georgia. It was dedicated on October 14, 1911. It was erected by the Robert E. Lee Chapter, U D C.
Inscribed on the base is as follows :
(East face) In memory of our Confederate Soldiers
(North face ) 1861-1865, Crossed flags
(West face) Erected by the Robert E lee Chapter, UDC. Oct 1911."
