Description
The Owls Head Lighthouse Keeper's house was built in 1854. This wood frame dwelling and brick tower are located in Owls Head, Maine. Although, the Owls Head Light was automated in 1989, the Coast Guard personnel continued to use the keeper’s dwelling as a residence. In 2012, the dwelling was leased to American Lighthouse Federation and is in use as the organization's headquarters.
